During this session, participants painted a lighthouse, a symbol of guidance, hope, and consistency. The theme was “Be the Light.”
The message reminded teacher assistants that:
Show up, even when it’s hard. Just as a lighthouse shines in storms, their dedication makes a difference in challenging moments.
Your presence means more than presents. Students don’t always remember gifts or grand gestures—but they remember the people who consistently show up for them.
This professional development combined creativity and reflection, giving teacher assistants a chance to recharge, reconnect with their purpose, and leave with both a piece of art and a renewed sense of meaning in their role.
